Applying Design Patterns in Domain Modeling
2.5 hour deep dive
Time & Date:
May 17th | TBD
ABSTRACT:
Design patterns have been around for 30 years, passing through several phases of existence, from adoration to rejection to inclusion into the syntax of programming languages. In this workshop, you will learn the underlying principles from which most of the design patterns stem. Those principles, however few, help design even the most complex domain models.
You will develop a portion of an ASP.NET Core application backed by Entity Framework Core and a SQL Server database. Your task will be to add a fairly complex feature that will require lots of calculations and even more object-to-object communication.
By the end of the workshop, you will know how to apply the first principles from which design patterns are made.
