As a Java Engineer, you will take part in design, development and testing of a server-side application for the EON platform. The robust and highly scalable solution makes use of the latest technological advancements, specifically pertaining to video processing and delivery.

Java Engineer – video streaming

Freedom and responsibilities:

• Development of robust, scalable, high performance real-time server-side application for ingest, processing, packaging and distribution of video and audio signal.
• Development of real-time monitoring components
• Development of different services that support main server-side application.
• Communicating with the back-end teams
• Proposing, planning and implementing futrter improvements to the solution
• Improving our CI/CD pipelines and toolsets.

What we look for:

• At least 3 years of experience in software development
• Professional experience with core Java
• Experience with TCP/IP based protocols (HTTP/DNS)
• Experince with garbage collectors will be considered as a plus
• Experience with high-availability systems
• Good verbal communication and good interpersonal skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• High proficiency in written and spoken English

What will be considered as bonus:

• Experience with video streaming and audio/video codecs
• Experience with GC optimizations, off-heap memory manipulation, direct I/O operations
• Experience with network protocols implementations (Multicast, TCP, UDP)
